LEVI BURGET HOOVER Of Curryville, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles Kagarise of Curryville, this morning at 6.30 o'clock after a two-month illness. He was born Aug. 14, 1868, near Henrietta, a son of Isaac and Mary Ann (Burget) Hoover and married Mary Latshaw Jan. 24, 1895. Mrs. Hoover died Aug. 13, 1916. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Mabel Kagarise of Curryville, and three grandchildren. A daughter, Mary Kathryn, is deceased. Rev. Hoover was educated in the schools of North Woodbury township and attended several terms of summer normal. He taught in the public schools of Blair and Bedford counties for 11 years and was a prominent farmer at Curryville for 40 years. He had served as a free minister in the Clover Creek Church of the Brethren since 1910 and was active in church affairs until his recent illness. Levi Burget Hoover of Curryville, will be held Thursday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock at Diehl's Cross Roads Church of the Brethren, in charge of the pastor, Rev. Paul Yoder.
