WILLIAM P. HOOVER

Of 111 Penn street, Hollidaysburg, died at 10.15 o'clock last night at 
his home following an extended illness. Mr. Hoover was born Nov. 20, 
1884, at Altoona. He retired in December, 1949, as a machinist at the 
Pennsylvania railroad shops at East Altoona. He was a member of the 
Hollidaysburg Methodist church. Surviving are his wife, the former 
Susan Hewitt of Martinsburg; two children, William Paul of State 
College and Mrs. Loretto Hansel of Hollidaysburg; two step-children, 
Arthur E. and Naomi of Martinsburg, and five grandchildren. Friends 
will be received at the Read funeral home, Hollidaysburg, after 3 
o'clock tomorrow afternoon.
