Hopkins, of 1307 1/2 Sixteenth avenue, died at midnight on Thursday at his home, after a lingering illness of heart trouble. He was born in Mahanoy City, 41 years ago, and was employed in this city for a number of years as an airbrake inspector and was considered one of the most capable employes in this line of work, having graduated from the Dukesmith school on airbrakes. He was a member of the P.O.S. of A., Wasunda tribe of Red Men of Juniata, and the Pennsy Relief association. Surviving are his wife and one daughter, Lenore; two sons, Joseph and Earnest, and also his mother and two sisters, who reside in Philadelphia, and three brothers who reside in the east. The funeral will be held, with services at the late home, at 10 o'clock Monday morning, followed by burial in Greenwood. Altoona Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Saturday Morning, November 25, 1916
