ESTELLA HOPKINS Wife of Harry G. Hopkins and a native of Iowa, but for some years a resident of Mountaindale, died at the Mercy hospital yesterday morning at 3:50 o'clock after a lingering illness, having been bedfast for the past eight months. She was the daughter of Peter and Montrey Miller and was born in Iowa Feb. 21(?), 1871. She was united in marriage with Mr. Hopkins in Coalport, Clearfield county, on May 24, 1898, and soon afterwards went to Pitcairn where Mr. Hopkins was employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad company as a fireman. He is now retired. Surviving are the husband, two children, Virgil Hopkins of Mountaindale and Mrs. Irene Myers of Blandburg; two sisters, Mrs. Flora Purdy of Flemington and Mrs. I. B. Stuckey of Altoona; three brothers, Arthur Miller of Pontiac, Mich., Edward of Mountaindale and John of Tyrone, and two grandchildren, Marjorie and Jane Hopkins of Mountaindale. One sister, Mrs. Minnie Clark, and one brother, Joseph Miller of Pitcairn, are deceased. Mrs. Hopkins was an active member of the Mountaindale Baptist church. Funeral services will be conducted at the home Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of her pastor Rev. G. W. Hatch. Interment will be made in the Pleasant Hill cemetery at Glasgow.
