HORNE Of 118 East Logan avenue, died at 1.30 o'clock this morning at Mercy hospital where he had been a patient since Jan. 21. He was born on Oct. 19, 1876, in Hollidaysburg, a son of Thaddeus and Rebecca (McConnell) Horne, and had engaged in the drying business in the city. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth (Owens) Horne; four daughters, Mrs. John Howell and Mrs. Lester Garforth of Pittsburgh, Mrs. Frances Keating of Roaring Spring and Miss Florence in Phoenix, Ariz., and one sister, Mrs. Walter Cleveland of Swissvale. He was a member of St. Mark's Catholic church. Mr. Horne reposes at the home. HORNE - The funeral of Alphonsus A. Horne of 118 East Logan avenue will be held Friday morning with requiem mass at 9 o'clock in St. Mark's church. Interment in Calvary cemetery. Altoona Mirror, February 10, 1943
