He was the son of John J. and Elizabeth Horner and was born November 20, 1829, near Mineral Point, Cambria county. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nancy Snowberger Horner, and five children, of whom are Mrs. E. M. Pennell, of Bedford, Pa., and David L., of this city. For a few years following his marriage he lived at New Enterprise, Bedford county, until 1898, when he removed to this city. He left here in 1910 for Los Angeles.
