Decease of a Former Altoona Resident.

  Word was last night received in Altoona that Mrs. G. C. Horning, 
living at Osage City, Kansas, had died at about 9 o'clock yesterday 
morning.  Mrs. Horning's maiden name was Mary E. Bowers, a daughter of 
Jacob Bowers, of Duncansville; she has a number of relatives living in 
Altoona, among them two sisters.  She at one time lived in this city 
herself, her husband keeping a grocery on Eleventh avenue.  No 
arrangements have yet been made for the funeral.  We extend our 
heartfelt sympathy to the afflicted relatives.
