HORST

  Joseph K. Horst, died at his home in Homer Gap at 1.20 yesterday 
morning of disease incident to old age.  He was born in Donecoal [sic] 
township, Lancaster county, Nov. 10, 1841, and was aged 77 years and 3 
days.  He was a son of Joseph B. and Mary Horst, both deceased.  He was 
married Nov. 27, 1862, to Miss Elizabeth Derr.  He is survived by his 
wife and one sister, Mrs. Henry Farmer of Elizabethtown and four 
children, Mrs. Ella Helena Ebersole, Mrs. William Roder, Mrs. James L. 
Moyer and Mrs. Frank X. Greiner, all near Altoona.  He was a member of 
the Reformed church.  The funeral will be held Friday, at 2 p.m. at 
Asbury church.  Interment in Asbury cemetery.
