Hostler, 82, of McCandless Twp. died on Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at Good Samaritan Hospice. He was born in Bellwood on November 19, 1922, son of the late Reuben and Bertha Snouffer Hostler. Virgil was the retired vice president and general manager of Chemical Plants division of Dravo and a US Navy Veteran. Father of James A. Hostler of St. Louis, Mo., Beverly J. Weston of Adams Twp. and Susan L. Hostler of Bradford Woods. Brother of Gilbert Hostler of St. Louis, Mo., Virginia Root of Va., Ray Hostler of Penn Hills, Nita "Betty" Hamilton of New Port News, Va., Shirley Dotzauer of Va., Stanley Hostler of Charlestown, Wv. and Marion Casaday of Indiana, Pa. Also survived by four grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Mary L. (Aurin) Hostler, two sisters, Violet Hirschbiel and Lillian Hettinger and four brothers, Clarence Hostler, Eugene Hostler, Norman Hostler and Wilbur Dean Hostler. Visitation Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry, 2678 Rochester Rd. Cranberry Twp. Services will be held in Ingomar United Methodist Church, 1501 West Ingomar Road, Saturday, at 10 a.m. Everyone please meet at church.
