He was born in Altoona on March 26, 1897, a son of Alonsa D. and Laura A. (Law) Houck and on Sept. 1, 1921, married Miss Mary Elizabeth Westfall of the city. For some years he was engaged in the electrical contracting business in the city and for the past nine years was in the service of the Pennsylvania Edison company, for a time in Huntingdon and Lewistown and more recently in Altoona. Surviving are his wife, one son, Kenneth J., jr., at home, his parents and one sister, Miss Marian A. Houck of the city. Mr. Houck was an active member of Christ Second Lutheran church and Sunday school, serving as a member of the church council, a member of Logan lodge, No. 490, F. & A.M., and a veteran of the World war. Friends are being received at the Lafferty funeral home and are requested to omit flowers. HOUCK - Funeral services for Kenneth Jones Houck of 1101 Eighteenth avenue will be held at 2.30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Lafferty funeral home by Rev. C. H. Hershey, pastor of the Christ Second Lutheran church. Interment in Fairview cemetery. Friends are being received at the Lafferty funeral home and are requested to omit flowers.
