SAMUEL D. HOUCK.

  Word was received in Altoona on Sunday of the death of Samuel D. 
Houck, which occurred at 5:30 Sunday morning, at his home at 
Washington, D.C.  The cause of death was general debility.  He was aged 
about 80 years.  Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Sterling Gardner, and 
three grandchildren; also two brothers and two sisters - James H. and 
W. A. Houck, Mrs. Rachel Stevens and Mrs. Catherine Shollar, all of 
Altoona.  The funeral will take place at Washington Tuesday afternoon.
