VIRGINIA HOUCK Aged 48, wife of Carl McKinley Houck of Greenwood, died at noon yesterday in Hot Springs, Ark., where she had gone late in December with her husband on a vacation trip after having been ill for the past year. She was born in Clearfield county, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Barnett. Surviving are her husband, her father and step-mother, in Flinton; two stepsons, Carl of Hollidaysburg and Norris of Altoona and the following step-brothers and step-sisters: Mrs. William Frederick of Shippenville, Ben Barnett of Austin, Mrs. Bertram Mowrey and Mrs. John Baylin of Port Alleghany, Henry Barnett of Buffalo, N. Y., Mrs. Francis Smith and Mrs. Robert Alley of Emporium, Mrs. John Craig, Mrs. John Williams and Miss Betty Barnett, all of Altoona, Wade Barnett of Flinton and Mrs. Rollin Rudolph of Cowdersport. Mrs. Houck was a member of the Greenwood Evangelical United Brethren church. The body will arrive in Altoona early tomorrow morning and friends will be received at the N. A.
