HOUSEMAN Of 1429 Nineteenth avenue, died at his home at 8 o'clock this morning after having been il [sic] failing health for the past several years and confined to his home for the past five months. He was born on the Bell farm in Pleasant valley, a son of Andrew J. and Sarah Ann (Morgan) Houseman, on Dec. 7, 1866, his father being employed as farmer there. He grew up in Altoona, however, and entered the service of the Pennsylvania Railroad company as a young man, retiring four years ago as a machinist in the East Altoona roundhouse. On Sept. 1, 1892, he was united in marriage with Miss Ida Clarissa Leake of the city, who survives, along with one son, Wilmer L. Houseman, at home. Mr. Houseman was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was a member of the Christ Evangelical and Reformed church. The body may be viewed at the Tobias & Laughlin funeral home where funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Interment will be made in Fairview cemetery.
