Mrs. Ruth Agnes Houston, wife of Earl Houston, of 1519 Sixth avenue, died at 1:50 o'clock yesterday morning at the Altoona hospital, of embolism, following a brief illness. She was born in this city on August 8, 1893, the daughter of Amos and Anna Courter, deceased, and was married on February 15, 1913. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist church. Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Beatrice E., and a step-mother, Mrs. Mary Courter, of this city, and three sisters, Mrs. A. E. Bassett, of Binghampton [sic], N.Y.; Miss Rebecca Courter of Roaring Spring, and Mrs. Harry Yost, of this city. The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon, leaving the house at 2 o'clock, followed by services at the Calvary Baptist church at 2:30. Interment will be made in Rose Hill cemetery.
