HOUTZ Widow of Howard Houtz, died at the Presbyterian home, Hollidaysburg, at 1 o'clock Monday morning after three years' illness, the greatest part of which she was confined to her bed. She was born in Philipsburg on Jan. 2, 1857, a daughter of Charles and Levenia (Senser) Humphrey, and had been a member of the Presbyterian church for forty-five years. Mrs. Houtz had been a guest at the home in Hollidaysburg since September, 1932, entering from Philipsburg. Surviving are two brothers Charles and Harry Humphrey both of Philipsburgh [sic]. The body may be viewed at the VanAlleman funeral home, Hollidaysburg. HOUTZ - A brief funeral service for Mrs. Irene Houtz will be held at the VanAlleman funeral home, Hollidaysburg, at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning, by Rev. Ralph Illingworth, prebyterial executive of the Huntingdon Presbytery, and the body will then be taken to Philipsburg where further services will be held in the Presbyterian church by Rev. Charles McClay. Interment will be made in the Philipsburg cemetery. Altoona Mirror, June 20, 1937
