(LUCH) HOYER Of Carson valley, died at his home at 10.10 o'clock last night after an extended illness. He was born in Altoona March 14, 1888, a son of Samuel and Clara (McClelland) Hoyer. His father was a former mayor of Altoona. Mr. Hoyer was a former electric line foreman for the Pennsylvania railroad, retiring in 1948 with 42 years of service. He served in World war I as a sergeant, was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic church and was active a number of years ago in the baseball leagues of the city. Surviving are his wife, Pauline M. (O'Rorke) Hoyer, a son, David of Philipsburg; one grandchild, and four brothers, Graham, Roy and Harry of Altoona, and Claude of Pittsburgh. Friends will be received at the N. A.
