CLARINDA HUDSON Of Roaring Spring, R.D., died at the home of her son Sunday afternoon at 1.05 o'clock after a brief illness. She was born near Roaring Spring, in Taylor township, Feb. 15, 1864, the daughter of Jacob and Margaret (Snowberger) Shoenfelt, and was married to Hosea Hudson, Nov. 11, 1883, at Martinsburg. He preceded her in death in 1917, as did one son, Homer. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Smith of Roaring Spring, R.D., two sons, Alfred and Emory, both of Roaring Spring, R.D.; two sisters, Mrs. Harry Smith of Juniata and Mrs. Della Hoover of Duncansville; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a niece, Mrs. Clyde Houser of 329 Spruce avenue, Altoona, who was raised by Mrs. Hudson. Mrs. Hudson was educated in the Blair county schools and was a lifelong member of the Bare Memorial Church of God, Roaring Spring. Friends will be received at the residence after 7 o'clock this evening. HUDSON - Funeral services for Mrs. Clarinda Hudson of Roaring Spring, R.D., will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Chester Smith, Roaring Spring, R.D., by Rev. W. H. Hower. Interment in Greenlawn cemetery, Roaring Spring. Friends will be received at the daughter's home after 7 o'clock this evening. Altoona Mirror, August 4, 1947
