HUGHES Of 1504 Tenth street, died suddenly at St. Petersburg, Fla., at 11 o'clock yesterday morning. Mr. Hughes had been in poor health for the past four years and had been making his home in Florida during the winters. He was born in Altoona, a son of James C. and Elizabeth (Walton) Hughes, and is survived by his wife Mary (Smith) Hughes, and these brothers, James C., jr., Ralph L. and G. Arthur Hughes, all of Altoona. M. [sic] Hughes was formerly associated with J. C. Hughes and Son, the H. C. Prutzman company and Parrish & Co. He attended the First Presbyterian church. The body will arrive in Altoona Wednesday noon and friends will be received at the Hickey funeral home after 7 p.m. Wednesday. HUGHES - Funeral services for Harry W. Hughes, will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Hickey funeral home in charge of Rev. Walter Ritter and Rev. W. L. Armstrong. Interment in Fairview cemetery.
