MRS. JESSIE M. HUGHES

Died unexpectedly of a heart attack at 11.25 o'clock last night at the 
home of a son, Samuel W. Cornelius of Wehnwood. She was born in Altoona 
Oct. 4, 1883, a daughter of Samuel and Jennie (Beard) Ake, and married 
George H. Hughes, Jan. 12, 1924, at Roaring Spring. Surviving are her 
husband, two sons and one daughter, Samuel W. and Robert A. Cornelius 
of the city and Mrs. Jane Marks in California; three grandchildren, and 
three sisters, Mrs. Adam Lee of Newry, Mrs. C. Delozier of McKee and 
Mrs. Bruce Blattenberger of Johnstown. Mrs. Hughes was a member of the 
Fourth Street Church of God. Friends will be received at the Hickey 
funeral home after 7 o'clock this evening.
