All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ HENRY ROLLAND HUNTER Henry Rolland Hunter died Thursday afternoon at 4:35 o'clock at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. James Strachan, Bowser apartments, with whom he had made his home the past 25 years. He was born Feb. 18, 1872, in Ironsville, the son of Joshua and Mary Burley Hunter. On March 28, 1895, he married Rebecca Ann Webner in Ironsville. Surviving are these children: Howard J., and Robert N. Hunter, Mrs. Charles R. Houck and Mrs. James A. Strachan, all of Tyrone; two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Hewel and Mrs. George Myers, Tyrone; also nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was a member of the First Methodist church and of the Neptune Fire company. He was one of the original employees of the old Tyrone Forge rolling mill, worked at Westvaco paper mill and later was a dray man, retiring in 1940. Funeral service will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Johnson funeral home, in charge of the Rev. T. T. Cummings. Burial will be in Eastlawn cemetery.
