HUNTER; SERVICE THURSDAY Funeral service will be held tomorrow for Marvin P. Hunter, 58, formerly of Tyrone, whose body was found in the woods near Tipton yesterday morning. The victim, who is believed to have died of exposure, had been a worker and resident at the Blair County Home, Hollidaysburg, the past 23 years and had left the institution last Feb. 15, according to borough police. The body was identified by a brother yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock. Tentative identification had been made earlier in the afternoon. The body had been found in a decomposed condition, by Charles D. Johnson and his son DeLeon, 5. as they were walking in the woods about 10 a. m. It was believed the man had been dead prior to the high flood waters recently, for the waters had covered the body. The body was lying near the Tipton run. He had last been seen by a brother, Howard J. Hunter, 752 South Lincoln ave., when the victim waited outside a Tyrone store while Howard went in to shop. When he returned, the victim was not in sight. He was born March 15, 1895, in Ironsville, the son of H. Roland and Rebecca Webner Hunter. He leaves his father, two sons, Marvin Leroy, Lewistown, and Charles Oscar, Tyrone; five grandchildren, one great grandchild: and the following brothers and sisters: Howard J., Robert N., Mrs. Charles Houck, and Mrs. James G. Strachan, all of Tyrone. He was of Methodist faith. Private funeral service will be held tomorrow at 2 p. m. at the Fuoss Mortuary, Bellwood, in charge of the Rev. Don Sease.
