J. HOWARD HURD

A native and for some years a resident of Altoona died on Monday, Aug. 
20, at Santa Clara, Calif., according to word received here by friends.  
Deceased was a son of John and Julia Hawksworth Hurd and was aged 51 
years.  He was reared and educated in the city schools and shortly 
after attaining manhood he left the city.  He had been living in 
California for the past seven years.  He is survived by two sisters, 
Mrs. Jackson A. Due, Heyward, Cal., and Mrs. Walter Lembkey, 
Washington, D.C.  A number of relatives and friends reside in the city.
