Mrs. Josephine Hurley, wife of William Hurley, died at her home here July 12, 1899, aged 72 years and 5 months. Mrs. Hurley was born near Birmingham, Huntingdon county, and united with the Presbyterian church in her youth and ever afterward remained a member, although often deprived of attending her church on account of living away from it. She leaves a husband, William Hurley, who resides here; six daughters, Mrs. Duke Copeland, Mrs. A. B. Galbraith and Mrs. A. L. Bolger, wife of Postmaster Bolger, of Philipsburg; Mrs. Oliver Daniels and Mrs. H. M. Fleck, of Altoona; Mrs. M. V. Posk, of Pittsburg, and two sons, William Hurley, jr., of Loysburg, and George Hurley, of Philipsburg. They were all at the funeral of their mother, which occurred on Friday afternoon last. Rev. James R. Sample preached the funeral sermon. She was a kind Christian lady, beloved by all who knew her. Mr. Hurley returns his sincere thanks to his neighbors for their kind attentions during his wife's illness and after her death. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Wednesday, July 19, 1899
