On Saturday evening Undertaker Hite of Roaring Spring, passed through this place on his way to the county almshouse for the purpose of removing the corpse of Benjamin Houston to Roaring Spring, he having died on Saturday morning. Benjamin Huston, an old citizen of Maria Forges, died on Friday and was interred in the cemetery at this place, Rev. W. W. Reese, of the Methodist Episcopal church, preaching the funeral discourse in the Methodist church. Mr. Huston was about 76 years of age at the time of his death.
