A. Virginia Hutchinson

  Mrs. Anna Virginia Hutchinson, familiarly known as "Geet," and the 
widow of former Tyrone Borough Police Chief James Hutchinson, died 
Sunday at 11:45 a.m. at Valley View Home, Altoona, where she had been a 
guest since May.  She was born December 11, 1901, at Tyrone, a daughter 
of Abednego and Frances M. Hampton Myers.  She was married August 29, 
1925, to James W. Hutchinson.  He died March 11, 1963.  Surviving are a 
sister, Mrs. Harry (Stella) McCord, of Harrisburg, and a number of 
nieces and nephews.  She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and 
of the women's organization of the church.  She was an active worker in 
the American Red Cross Chapter and was a member of Tyrone Chapter 288, 
Order of Eastern Star.  Funeral service will be held at Trinity Church 
on Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Reverend Vance N. Clark officiating.  
Burial will be in Eastlawn Cemetery, Tyrone, Pa.  Friends will be 
received at the Getz and Searer Funeral Home on Tuesday from 3:30 to 5 
p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m.  The Eastern Star will hold a service at the 
funeral home on Tuesday at 6:45 p.m.
