A lifelong resident of Bellwood, he was born March 24, 1886, the son of Henry C. and Sarah Murphy Igou. He married Kathryn Phillips, June 9, 1915. He is survived by his wife, the following children, Harry, Mrs. Erma Young, James, Lois, Richard, Ronald, all of Bellwood, and Dorothy, Clearfield, and Donald, U.S. Army in Japan. One sister, Mrs. Ruth Faber, of Hollidaysburg, also survives. He was a member of the Logan Valley Presbyterian church of Bellwood, and of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen, Altoona.
