Irvin, wife of William Irvin, chief of the PRR Fire Dept., died at her home, 703 Crawford Ave. after a short illness of pneumonia at 3:20 this morning. Deceased was born at St. Augustine, Cambria County on August 6, 1840, coming to Blair County 48 years ago. She has been a resident of the city 47 years. Beside her husband, the following children survive her, Mr. J. A. Irvin, Mrs. Maurice Holland, Mrs. Wm. Corless, Mrs. Austin Kuhn all of this city. Also one brother Mr. Andres Carl of Patton Pa., 3 sisters, Mrs. Lotta (Retta) Lindsay, Tenn., Mrs. Mary Durbin, Cresson, Mrs. Marie McAteer of Altoona. The deceased was a member of the Roman Catholic Church and ladies auxiliary of Encampment No 17 Union Veteran Legion of this city and Encampment No. 2 of Philadelphia. The funeral will take place Thursday morning at 8:30 at St. Marks. Interment will be made at St. Johns Cemetery.
