Irvin, age 75, of 4602 Eden Rd. Tyrone, died August 22, 2006 at Tyrone Hospital. He was in failing health for the past year. Born November 13, 1930 in Altoona, he was a son of the late Lillian M. (Rote) Irvin and Sidney H. Irvin. On May 18, 1951 in Winchester, Virginia, he married Gertrude (Gert) Richardson who survives. Also surviving are two daughters: Diane (Suz) and husband Don Price of Eden Hill and Katy Jo and husband "Spike" Miller of Eden Hill; three grandchildren: Tony Price and Jack and Jenna Morgan; one sister: Doris Lauver of Indiana, Pa. and one brother: S. R. (Dick) Irvin of Eden Hill. He was a graduate of Juniata Valley School class of 1949. He was a life member of the Tyrone B.P.O.E. Lodge No. 212, Spruce Creek Twp. Supervisor for the past 10 years and a member of the Lower Spruce Creek Presbyterian Church. He was a dairy farmer on Eden Hill from 1942 to 1996 and then crop farmed, drove truck and was a bus driver at the Penn State University Test Track. At the request of the deceased there will be no public services and "Jim says goodbye". Arrangements are under the direction of the Bruce E. Cox Funeral Home, Warriors Mark.
