JESSE G. IRVIN

Of 815 Willow Ave., died at 10:05 p.m. yesterday after an extended 
illness.  He was born in Altoona, March 12, 1906, a son of George W. 
and Dessa (Runk) Irvin, and married Maxine Smith.  Surviving are his 
wife, two sons and one daughter, Lloyd of Flint, Mich., Mrs. Patricia 
Jenkins of the City and Jesse jr., at home; two step children, Mrs. 
Patricia Barton of Wilmington, Del., and Clyde McKelvey of Port Huron, 
Mich., eight grandchildren, one sister and one brother, Mrs. Geraldine 
Kling and A. C. Irvin of the city.  Mr. Irvin was a member and honorary 
deacon of the First Church of Christ and a member of the Men's Bible 
Class.  He was employed as a car builder in the Altoona Works.  Friends 
will be received at the Hickey Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today.
