JOHN J. "JACK" IRWIN

  John J. "Jack" Irwin, 76, Altoona, died Thursday, July 26, 2007.  He 
was born in Altoona, son of David C. Sr. and Mary Ellen (Shay) Irwin.  
He was preceded in death by his wife, Caryl (McConnell); and a brother, 
Joseph. Surviving are his son, Andrew Jon of Philadelphia; grandson, A. 
J. O'Donnell of Philadelphia; and brothers; Regis of Spring Texas, and 
David and Robert of Altoona.
  Jack was an avid football fan and played for Altoona Catholic High 
School.
  At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation. A 
memorial service will be held at the discretion of the family.
