MARY ELLEN IRWIN Widow of John Baker Irwin of Milesburg, died at 3:25 o'clock Sunday morning of complications. For many years before moving to Milesburg she resided at Pleasant Valley avenue and Kettle street this city. She was born on Sept. 22, 1860, a daughter of William and Margaret (White) McCommons. She was married to John Baker Irwin in the spring of 1881. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Virginia Kunes, and one brother, George B. McCommons, both residing at 1121 Fifth avenue, Altoona, where funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, with Rev. Marshall Piper of Milesburg Methodist church and Rev. W. T. Fisher of the Church of Christ, Altoona, officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill cemetery. Mrs. Irwin was a charter member of the Chestnut avenue Methodist church before it united with the Walnut avenue church, to be known as Grace Methodist church.
