CHARLES JAAP

Of 501 Lotz avenue, South Lakemont, died at his home yesterday 
afternoon after an extended illness.  Mr. Jaap was born Aug. 6, 1890, 
in Tioga county, a son of Walter and Amelia (Martin) Jaap.  He was a 
gang foreman in the car shop of the Pennsylvania railroad.  Surviving 
are his wife, Mrs. Lydia (Fultz) Jaap; two sons, Gerald and Walter, and 
a daughter, Mrs. Shirley Keech, all of Altoona; a brother and a sister, 
William of Phoenix, Ariz.; and Mrs. Caroline Womer of Miami, Fla., one 
grandson, Gregory Keech of Altoona.  Friends may call at the Lafferty 
funeral home after 7 o'clock this evening.
