Jacobs, a cousin of Mrs. Matthew Black, of 1222 Eighth avenue, died very suddenly yesterday morning of heart disease. She came to this city on Saturday morning last and was visiting Mrs. Black. She had been ill for some time past, but on getting up yesterday morning she appeared to be better than she had been at any time since her arrival in the city. She had eaten a hearty breakfast and gone up stairs at a few minutes before 9 o'clock. She was sitting in a rocking chair conversing with Mrs. Black's daughter when she suddenly fell forward and expired almost instantly. A physician was immediately summoned, but on his arrival he found that life was extinct. The suddenness of the death was a great shock to her friends. The deceased was born in county Donegal, Ireland, sixty-four years ago, coming to this country many years ago. She was twice married, but is survived by no near relations but one brother, Samuel Robb, of Chicago. The funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock this morning and the remains will be taken to the station and conveyed on day express to Philadelphia, when to-morrow the interment will be made in Mount Moriah cemetery at that place.
