WILLIAM JACOBS,

Grandfather of John C. Jacobs and Mrs. Annie Bowman of 201 Sixth
avenue, died at his home in Mechanicsburg on Tuesday, at the age of 78
years.  He was born in Cumberland county, where he had lived all his
life.  He is survived by three sons and one daughter, Mr. Jacobs and
Mr. and Mrs. Mary Bowman left last night to attend the funeral, which
took place today.
