Jaggard died at the Mercy hospital yesterday afternoon at 5.10 o'clock, after an illness of a few days, of influenza-pneumonia, having been admitted to the hospital on Sunday. Mr. Jaggard was born in March, 1862, and was a son of Clement and Annie J. Jaggard, pioneer residents of Altoona, his birth place being the old Jaggard property at Sixth avenue and Fifteenth street, now used as an adjunct of the High school. He was united in married with Nettie Plack (deceased), daughter of Louis Plack, who was the founder of the Plack Coal company. After their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Jaggard removed to Carthage, Mo., and several years later took up their residence near Kansas City. Ten years ago they returned to this city and purchased the Coleman farm which has since been the family home. There Mr. Jaggard engaged in farming and looked after his coal interests. He is survived by three children, Edward, principal of the Martz schools, Logan township, who resides at Ivyside and Elizabeth and Ernest at home, and by the following brothers and sister: Clement of Kansas City, Herbert A. of Elmira, N.Y.; Archibald Wright Jaggard of Bonner Springs, Mo., and Mrs. Clara J.
