WILLIAM JEFFERSON.

  William Jefferson, a colored citizen who resided at Tenth avenue and 
Sixteenth street, died at his home at 6 o'clock last night of 
hemorrhages. He was aged 40 years, and is survived by his wife and one 
brother, John, of this city.  He was a member of the African Methodist 
Episcopal church.  The remains will likely be taken to Fulton county on 
Saturday for interment.
