Virginia Louise Jeffries 

  Mrs. Virginia Louise Jeffries, age 88, formerly of 1355 Clay Avenue, 
and a guest at Epworth Manor, died Monday, October 17, 2005 at 10:55 
p.m. at the manor. She was born August 25, 1917 in Tyrone, the daughter 
of Merrill B. and Elsie Funk Williams. On February 23, 1942 at 
Winchester, VA she was married to Orville C. Jeffries who preceded her 
in death June 5, 1996. She is survived by a son, Timothy LeRoy Jeffries 
and wife Teresa of Tyrone and a daughter, Susan, wife of R. Stanley 
Crawford of Sinking Valley; five grandchildren: Elizabeth Jeffries of 
Philadelphia; Benjamin Jeffries of Lancaster, OH; Aaron Jeffries, 
student at Penn Tech, Williamsport; Stephanie, wife of Erin Cooley, 
Sinking Valley and Mark Crawford, Sinking Valley.
  Also surviving are three sisters: R. Romaine Wilson, Keyser, WV, 
Gloria Harris, Tyrone and Jane Owens, Valrico, FL. She was preceded in 
death by two brothers, LeRoy and Orvis (killed in action in World War 
II) and two sisters, Elizabeth Gill and Jeannette Bartholomew.
  Mrs. Jeffries was a member of Christ United Methodist Church where 
she taught and played the piano for a pre-school Sunday School class 
for many years and was a member of the Mission Circle of the church. 
She was very dedicated to her church. She enjoyed her flowers, spending 
time with family, crafts and volunteering for school and scouting 
programs.
  She was a graduate of Tyrone High School Class of 1935 and at one 
time had been employed by the Earl Rothrock Importing Co. and Jesse 
Woodring Clover Farm Grocery Store on Logan Avenue.
  Funeral service for Virginia Louise Jeffries will be Thursday, 
October 20, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc. 
with Pastor Bruce Boyles officiating. Interment will follow in Eastlawn 
Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 a.m. 
until the time of service at 11 a.m.
  Contributions in her memory may be made to the Epworth Manor Care 
Assurance Fund, 951 Washington Avenue, Tyrone, PA 16686.

Louise V. Jeffries 

  Mrs. Louise V. Jeffries, 88, a guest at Epworth Manor, died Monday, 
Oct. 17 at 10:55 p.m. at the Manor. Funeral arrangements will be 
announced Wednesday by the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc.
