He was a Bohemian and resided at the labor camp near BO tower. He met his death while at work, having failed to notice the approach of the train. The man's body was turned over to Undertakers Lafferty & Tobias to be prepared for burial, Coroner W. T. Blackburn being notified. The latter made an investigation and later announced that no inquest would be necessary, the man evidently having been run down because he failed to see the train. John had been employed by the Pennsy for some time and but little is known of his relatives. He was unmarried. The remains will be disposed of later. His injuries consisted of a fractured skull, deep gash on lower left cheek, broken left arm, broken left leg, severe contusions of the forehead and general cuts and bruises over the entire body.
