Johnson, prominent Tyrone citizen, died at his home, 100 West Ninth street, last evening at 8:45 o'clock following a week's illness with pneumonia. Mr. Johnson was a son of Asbury W. and Catherine (Weston) Johnson and was born at Warrior's Mark on September 13, 1834. On May 24, 1887, at Tyrone, he was united in marriage with Miss Anna M. McAllister, who died on February 2, 1936. Mr. Johnson had been a resident of Tyrone since May, 1898. He is survived by two sons: Charles C. Johnson and James W. Johnson, both of Tyrone; also five grandchildren. Two children died in infancy. He was the last of his immediate family. He was a member of the First Methodist Episcopal church and of Allegheny Gateway lodge No. 187, Independent Order of Odd Fellows. Mr. Johnson was a carpenter by trade and was considered an expert craftsman. Funeral services will be held at the Charles C. Johnson home, 102 West Ninth Street, on Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in charge of Rev. J. Resler Shultz, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal church, followed by burial in Grandview cemetery.
