Johnson, 71, of 702 East Eighth Street, Bellwood, Pa. died Wednesday, April 3, 1991, at 4:05 a.m. at Altoona Hospital. He was born Oct. 7, 1919, in Tyrone, Pa., the son of Walter Scott and Emily Laura (Way) Johnson. On June 5, 1942, at Winchester, Virginia, he was married to Laura Belle McFarland. He is survived by his wife, one son and one daughter, Randall S. Johnson, Greensburg, and Deborah K. Geisler, Martinsburg; one grandson and two brothers and one sister, LeRoy Johnson, Tyrone; Clifford Johnson, Ocala, Florida and Rebic/Rebie Albright, Chambersburg, Pa. A sister, Mary Alexander, preceded him in death. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving with the 102nd Infantry Division in the European Theatre. He was also a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He retired from the Juniata Locomotive Shops of Conrail as a machinist in 1980 after 38 years of service. Funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood, Pa., with the Reverend William Deist officiating. Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood. Friends will be received at the funeral home Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Tyrone Daily Herald, Tyrone, Pa., April 4, 1991
