TRIBUNE: Died, at Mines, March 2, 1889, Mrs. Phoebe A. Johnston, aged 39 years, 2 months and 18 days. Mrs. Johnston passed through a severe illness of bilious fever. She leaves a husband a seven children with a large circle of friends to mourn their loss. She was an affectionate wife and a devoted mother. During her sickness her anxiety was for her children, but in her closing hours of life her thoughts were upon her Redeemer. We have laid her away to rest until the trumpet tones of the archangel shall awake the peaceful sleepers from the dust. Funeral services were held in the Methodist Episcopal church. Words of comfort were spoken by the writer from I Peter, i, 24, after which the remains were taken to the Furnace cemetery for interment. J. D. MULHOLLEN. Altoona Tribune, March 7, 1889
