MARY VIRGINIA JONES

Of 913 Jefferson avenue, Tyrone, died suddenly at 11.15 o'clock 
yesterday morning at her residence of a heart condition.  Mrs. Jones 
was born March 25, 1870, at Omaha, Neb., a daughter of Thomas and 
Margaret (Estep) Charles.  She was married Jan. 15, 1890, in Altoona, 
to Lewis C. Jones who died Sept. 23, 1941.  She had been a resident of 
Tyrone for the past 60 years.  Surviving are two children, Mrs. Elmer 
Myers and Mrs. Cleo Holden, both of Tyrone; one granddaughter, Mrs. 
Frank Robinson of Valley Stream, N.Y.; a great-grandchild; one brother, 
James Wesley Charles, and a sister, Mrs. Pearl Wolfe, both of New York.  
She was a member of the First Presbyterian church, Tyrone, and the 
Ladies' Aid society.  Friends are being received at the Graham & Getz 
funeral home, Tyrone.
