She was admitted to that institution in the morning, but her condition was regarded as critical at the time. A delicate operation was imperative and this was resorted to at once. Having been a sufferer for two years, her system was greatly weakened and she could not withstand the shock. Mrs. Jones was born on May 19, 1875, at Tyrone, but has resided in Lock Haven for some years, where she had many friends who will regret to learn of her death. She was a woman who enjoyed the respect and admiration of all her acquaintances and was a very enthusiastic member of several lodges, all of which will attend the funeral. Mrs. Jones was a member of West Branch Temple No. 59, Pythian Sisters, Queen Rebekah Lodge, I.O.O.F. and Pride of Lock Haven assembly No. 40, Knights of The Mystic Chain. Deceased is survived by her husband. Funeral services were held at her late residence at 10 o'clock yesterday and the remains brought to Tyrone and taken to George Jones residence on Pennsylvania Avenue where further services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment in Grandview Cemetery. Tyrone Herald, Tyrone, Pa., January 1, 1914
