Death from Amputation

  A man named Judd, in the employ of the Pennsylvania Railroad company, 
suffered a serious accident several weeks ago. He attempted to load a 
musket on a car, while in motion, when by some means the piece 
discharged and the contents entered his leg, inflicting a severe, but 
it was thought not a serious wound. On last Tuesday amputation was 
found necessary and executed, after which he lived only about one hour.
