Mr. James Judge died at 1 o'clock Friday morning at his residence, No. 1109 Fourteenth avenue. He became ill about six weeks ago from what was pronounced to be Bright's disease of the kidneys, but his physicians attribute his death to congestion of the lungs. Mr. Judge enjoyed an extensive acquaintance in this city. He was a tailor by trade, and was employed by Mr. George March for the last sixteen years. He was a clever gentleman and stood high in the estimation of the community, and was best liked where he was best known. The information of his untimely death will be received with sincere sorrow by many of his old friends here and elsewhere. Mr. Judge was about 47 years of age, was possessed of a remarkably fine physique, and enjoyed excellent health up to the time stated. He leaves a wife and one child, a little girl age 5 years. He was a member of St. John's Catholic church. Altoona Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Thursday, June 7, 1883, page 3
