All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ KAZMAIER John Kazmaier, jr., only son of Mr. and Mrs. John Kazmaier, died at the home of the parents, Sylvan Hills, at 11.25 o'clock Saturday night of pneumonia, after an illness covering a period of one week. He was taken ill on Sunday, December 15, being taken down with Spanish influenza. On Tuesday pneumonia developed and he gradually grew worse until he passed into the great beyond at the hour above. He was born June 23, 1911 in this city and was reared at the parental home at Sylvan Hills, which is now enshrouded in grief and sorrow by his demise. He is survived by his parents and a half sister, Mrs. Emil Hoerl, of this city. The funeral will take place Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, services to be conducted at the home. Interment in the Kazmaier vault in Oak Ridge cemetery. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Monday Morning, December 23, 1918
