Bernard Kearney died yesterday morning at 4 o'clock at his home, 1605 Seventh avenue, death coming after a long illness from a complication of diseases. He was bedfast about five weeks. He was born in Donegal, Ireland, on Nov. 23, 1844 and came to this country early in life. He was the son of Michael and Bridget Kearney. He resided in this city for forty years and was married in Johnstown to Anna Murphy, who survives, together with four children: Miss Mary and Edward, both at home, John of Alexandria, Va., and Mrs. William Sutch, of this city; also by six grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Stephen McDonald of Altoona and Miss Mary Kearney, of Pittsburgh, and a brother, Daniel Kearney of Nome, Alaska. He had been for many years a freight conductor on the Pittsburgh division and was well and widely known among railroad men, and was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic church, the Pennsy relief and the Veterans' association.
