All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ Michael Kearney, An aged resident of this city, died of a complication of diseases, at 7 o'clock yesterday morning, at his home, 1709 Seventh avenue, aged 78 years. The deceased was born in County Donegal, Ireland, and came to this city in 1849, having previously married Miss Bridget McColgan. After residing for ten years in Cambria county they removed to this city, where Mrs. Kearney died several years ago. Four children survive to mourn their loss, as follows: Bernard of this city, Daniel of Seattle, Washington, Mrs. Stephen McDonnell of 1705 Seventh avenue, and Miss Mary Kearney at home. Up until Tuesday last Mr. Kearney worked for the P.R.R. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic church and had all its rites administered before his death. The remains will be taken to Wilmore on Johnstown express tomorrow morning, where, after the usual services in St. Bartholomew's church, they will be interred.
