Kearns, wife of James J. Kearns, who for the past month had been under treatment in Mercy hospital, Pittsburg, died in that institution Saturday afternoon at 12.35 o'clock of pleuro pneumonia. The remains were brought to Tyrone Saturday night at 11 o'clock and conveyed to the home of her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs George H. Garner, 1213 North Logan avenue. The deceased whose maiden name was Sneeringer was born near Littlestown, Adams county, and came to Tyrone with the family in 1877. On July 18, 1903, she was united in marriage to James J. Kearns, since which time, with her husband, who is a freight conductor on the middle division Pennsylvania Railroad, she had resided at Altoona. She is survived by her husband, two sisters and one brother, viz: Mrs. George H. Garner, of Tyrone; Sister Joanna, of Mount Caramel convent, Baltimore, and Florence Sneeringer of Kansas. Her mother, Mrs. Margaret Sneeringer, died in Tyrone several years ago, and a sister, Miss Jane Sneeringer died here two years before the death of her mother. Deceased was a devoted and faithful member of St. Matthew's church at 9 o'clock. Interment followed in Oak Grove cemetery. Tyrone Herald, Tyrone, Pa., August 25, 1904 TYRONE TOPICS. Anna S. The remains were brought to Tyrone station Saturday night at 11 o'clock and removed to the home of her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. George H. Carner, 1213 North Logan avenue.
