KEIL, EX-SERVICE MAN, DIED AT HOSPITAL Jordan John Keil, veteran of the World war and brother of Mrs. E. D. Calvert of 401 Seventh avenue, with whom he resided, died at the Altoona hospital yesterday afternoon at 3.30 o'clock, death resulting from blood poisoning. He had been ill but a short time. He was born Dec. 23, 1900, the son of John and Elizabeth Shutt Keil, at White Deer, Pa. When he was 15 years old, he enlisted at Lock Haven for overseas services and served throughout the war in France, being a member of Troop K, First Pennsylvania cavalry, of Battalion A, 109 F.A., and was honorably discharged at the end of the war. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the P.R.R. Relief. The young man is survived by these sisters and brothers: Mrs. Sara Reed of Milton, Pa., Lottie L. Kell of Sunbury, Mrs. E. D. Calvert, of this city, Harry H. of Trout Run, Pa., Miss Mabel Keil of Altoona, Mrs. E. M. Himmelreich of Reading, Miss Edna Keil of Milton, Mrs. Ella M. Mincemoyer of Milton, Mrs. Bertha South of Christopher, Ill., and Russell Keil of Milton. The body has been taken to Otto G. Gilden's funeral service home, where it can be viewed until tomorrow at 11.30 o'clock. It will then be sent to Milton, where the funeral services will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock and interment made. Altoona Mirror, January 31, 1921
